Resolved Question: Length of stay in Egypt?

If I'm planning a trip to Egypt and want to see all of the main attractions - pyramids, sphinx, Alexandria, Luxor, Thebes... how much time should I realistically plan? I'd like to be based in Cairo, but I'm not sure if the sites further away (like Luxor) can be done in 1 day and back... Ideally I'd like to spend a total of 4 days there - would that be enough? Tour packages I've seen online show minimum 8 days but include a lot of stuff I am not interested in. If anyone has been before and has some tips, please let me know. Thanks!... Read More »
